A handmade box isn’t only useful for storage, but is also a beautiful object in and of itself. In this day-long workshop, master marbler and box-maker Pietro Accardi will teach you to construct a single-drawer box with a hatch-top lid. You will learn to cover your boards with book-cloth that Pietro has marbleized for you, as well as how to construct a box with a smoothly functioning drawer. You’ll be provided with all of the box boards, pre-cut by Pietro, as well as the hand-colored book cloth. Some experience in book- and box-making will be helpful in this class, but is not required
