This extension of Pietro’s basic marbling class allows students to take their marbling skills to the next level as they learn to marble onto fabric. Marbleized fabric can be used to make your own cloth for covering books, as well as textiles for a multitude of uses—see the sumptuous marbleized scarves made by Pietro currently for sale at Castle in the Air. This workshop is a great addition for the experienced marbler, but is also suitable for novices. You will finish the class with detailed knowledge of materials and processes, as well as a stack of marbled fabric. Please note that marbling is a wet process. Fabric marbled in class may not be dry by the end of the day. If this is the case, Castle in the Air will carefully hold your pieces until they are dry for pickup later.
